Comp is dead, so no photoshop, no graphics. :(
Have lame sketches instead. Yes, Cliff’s eye had an issue.

I was thinking about it, but I really don’t want to come across like I’m bragging. Me talking about my Big 4 experiences were big enough to begin with.
But I have been wanting to start a music and film blog where I review shows and movies I go see. We’ll see. :)
Outside of sla-tanic, I don’t know many on here who really love Slayer. I wrote on my Instagram my thoughts on this anyway. But I decided to come here and give my short two cents, since I’ve been listening to every Slayer album nonstop.
I am a Slayer fan. Probably not as big as sla-tanic, but…
omg why didn’t i see this earlier and no don’t delete it
im still mourning and this just kinda cheered me up (as in knowing that others feel the same)
and the golden god awards seemed so depressed to me too even tho i was a gazillion miles away and still weeping
I really love Slayer. SO much. I regret not seeing them so many times earlier when I had the chance. Half was because I wasn’t such a big fan. The other half was because I was petrified shitless of being beaten to death in the crowd. I mean I had been to death metal shows and wasn’t nearly as scared as I was stepping into a Slayer show.
Not only was my Big 4 experience amazing, and I was lucky and was standing in the right area where I saw Jeff come out to play South of Heaven and Angel of Death (the pose he struck at the end of Angel of Death is forever stuck in my head), but I also met the nicest fucking fans ever. Hardcore about Slayer, in love with every member, all of them losing their MINDS when Jeff came out… and most of all, I’ll always remember the male nurse one person beside me who saw my gash in my shoulder I sustained during Megadeth and administered first aid on me. And everyone went “HOLY SHIT SHE’S ALREADY BLEEDING FOR SLAYER, SHE’S HARDCORE, SHE’S HARDCORE~” Haha. Great memories.
But yeah. Revolver was weird. The floor sucked, the whole corporate vibe sucked, and the fact Jeff died sucked.

I am a Slayer fan. Probably not as big as sla-tanic, but I love Slayer a whole lot. I love their music. And Jeff wrote all of the songs I love in Slayer. All of them.
I was at Revolver Golden Gods and there was this palpable sadness that took over everyone in line. Sadness and profound quietness. Some people left the line to go control their own selves. I went into full on talkative mode. That’s how I cope. Because I was *this* close to crying.
Hanneman was the heart of Slayer musically. Kerry’s the loudmouth Dave Mustaine, Lombardo is the machine, Tom is the frontman, but look at the writing credits, and the best well-known work of Slayer has Hanneman right next to the song title.
For me, and for some of those who were there, we sincerely believe this is the end of Slayer. It probably won’t be anyway, but for us, with Hanneman gone, we just don’t think Slayer can sound the same after this.
Jeff was a quiet guy. Never really talked. I don’t know many who cite him as their favorite of the band. But he was the blood, guts and soul of Slayer. Kerry is the mouthpiece. Jeff was the brains and the heart.
All I can say is I’m grateful I got to see the original line up at least once in my lifetime.
RIP Jeff.
Could you all send mightycookiez some birthday wishes, please? Thanks. :)
A James/Lars sex tape could come out, and no one would be surprised.
Or a Kirk/Lars sex tape.
Or even a James/Kirk/Lars sex tape.
Everyone would be like, “You mean it hasn’t come out before?”

Requested by a lot of people.
